Adjust monitor brightness

Hello, I am thinking one reason my laptop battery life is less with ubuntu than win.7 is the
monitor is brighter with ubuntu. I can't seem to find the tools in unity, to change this.

Any suggestions, and no i won't scrap unity.

Addendum, the lenovo tools available with windows are not available with ubuntu.

Solved. I found the settings, under battery. All this time and i never knew it was there,
and yes it was set at maximum brightness.
