Angry ssh hangs when attempting to connect to local computer

    Hi everyone

I have a laptop running ubuntu with a wireless internet connection and ip masquerading through the ethernet port, and a desktop running debian which connects to the internet through the laptop.
Its been working well, and have been able to ssh to the desktop from the laptop, but recently it has stopped working.
The network mask for the LAN is 192.168.0.0/24, so im worried that might be part of the problem, because I can still ssh to servers on the internet.
I also ran the ubuntu livecd on the desktop and installed ssh on it and could not connect to that either.

Thanks in advance to any help

Did the desktop's IP address change?
