New Installation

I am new to ubuntu , i want to install Ubuntu latest with windows 7 side by side plz help me,
i have 25 G.B unallocated space and 4 GB Ram.

The first step is to create a DVD or USB the latest Ubuntu(12.10) is over 700 Mb that is why a DVD will be required. 12.04 may be a better option because it is a long term support release and has support for 5 years.12.04 will also fit on a 700 Mb cd. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto

Once you have a disc created test Ubuntu by choosing try ubuntu without installing to see how it works on your hardware. (Running a live disc can be slower than an installation) I dual boot and use the installation method at the link. http://www.liberiangeek.net/2012/10/...antal-quetzal/
