I don't know if this is an error in Cariboo907's Updated Release Calendar or not, but if you take a good look at February 14th, 2013, it says: 12.04.2 Release (Opt In Flavors Only). Could someone please clarify exactly what that means, as I see the same thing written next to all the 13.04 Alpha's/Beta 1! Does this mean that there is NOT going to be a Ubuntu 12.04.2, but there will be a Kubuntu/Xubuntu 12.04.2, or does this just simply mean that Releases that are not LTS (like Lubuntu 12.04, for example) will not get the Update, and Ubuntu will get 12.04.2 after all? Could Cariboo907 or any one else that knows the answer to my question reply in this post? TIA.

The second LTS point release was supposed to be on January 29th, but it was set back two weeks in order to get some extra testing done.

I know that, but why does it say Opt In Flavors Only?

It says Opt-In releases, as some of the flavours, Lubuntu for one don't have an LTS release, Kubuntu and Xubuntu do.

I have to bring this up again, since I didn't see anyone answering it. It is important to me because I'm planning a fresh upgrade on my machine at work (and it has an AMD HD4000-series GPU).

Is there going to be a way of remaining on the binary driver with Ubuntu 12.04.2? (Perhaps with some legacy package to change X.org and other packages to proper/older versions)

    Thanks anyway!

Me. When 13.04 unstable is too unstable to run then I use 12.04 daily build updated.

Also, I do some finances and stock stuff with 12.04 daily build updated and really want stable for those. Among other things, Firefox AOL "compose" is really flaky on 13.04. Yahoo & Gmail O.K., Opera is O.K. with all.

    *raises hand*

I prefer running LTS releases as it is easier for me to set it and forget it.
