with PCBSD and desktop BSD dead,

Not much of a BSD person but I have been running ghostBSD on a VM and that one is not a bad desktop/user friendly.

i used to always have FreeBSD (or Debian) as a desktop.
loved it.

but now i'm disabled and can hardly type.
excited about DesktopBSD being revived...

I haven't used Freebsd, from my understanding ghostbsd is built on freebsd but I am sure there are still some differences, is there a cinnamon port for BSD? It is running gnome 2 and I prefer cinnamon.

Well that is sad, I love cinnamon and was hoping to see some kind of port to there, well I currently now running LXDE, it's decent but still not pleasant to the eye.

perhaps someone will get around to porting it......
in the meantime, i really recommend Enlightenment (total eye candy).

Why don't you try XFCE?
