You are trying to install a version that has reached end of life and no longer supported.

May I ask why you attempted to install a version of Ubuntu that not supported anymore ?
If the answer is "I didn't know" , then OK.
Read a list here about supported and EOL versions. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (long term support until April 2017) can be found here: http://releases.ubuntu.com/precise/
Thanks
You should of included this in your new thread.

EDIT: If you wish to go back in time why not go with 10.04, it is at least supported until April.

It should still install. Try installing without ticking the boxes to update and install third party software during the installation.
We do not usually get dumped to a command line during an install. Is this what happened during the reboot? And with 'quiet splash' removed from the boot parameters? Does the live session run?
Regards.
It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things.

If my eyes serve me correctly, that is a KP/Crash of the radeon evergreen drivers.
What graphics card are you using? It might be that your graphics card is not supported by 11.04.
Don't waste your energy trying to change opinions ... Do your thing, and don't care if they like it.
okay guyz my main problem was that I've got this desktop with 10.10 which is end of life too and maveric is not supported anymore so I've downloaded 12.04.1 LTS but It didn't work as well
and when I use the upgrade manager 11.04 appears and only 11.04 so I've downloaded it and burnt it to a CD and used it and btw I've passed that level in the picture up there and the problem now is while installing 11.04 I messed up with the partitions but I think I've figured out how to solve it too now I need to know why when I use the disc utility to format mbr it shows an error that one or more partitions are busy on /dev/sda
and I don't even know what that means ??
btw when I upgrade using the upgrade manager its not working that's why I've downloaded it and burnt it ( I want to say that I'm not mad )
