That's probably a good way to go. Ubuntu 12.10 generates system failures every day I use it -- so I don't. I use 12.04 instead and it works just fine. Newer, in Ubuntu releases, is not always better.
    Ubuntu 20.04, Mint 19.10; MS Win10 Pro.
Will not respond to PM requests for support -- use the forums.

After my system stopped responding with 12.10 version i installed 12.04...i had many crashes when i was trying to upgrade the system.
I tried to install first the language packages that was missing and after that to install the system updates, after that the system is working well without crashes! Now i have to solve sound problems. Thanks a lot!
