    Cannot set default apps

    Hi all,

I'm having this issue, where I can't set not only, but mainly, Google Chrome as my default browser.

I've tried according to this: http://askubuntu.com/questions/96080...efault-browser, checked everything, I have everything set correctly, but whenever I e.g. launch something via Unity, it opens Firefox instead of Chrome, because under System Info > Default Apps there's still Firefox and it won't allow me to change the setting.

    This goes for most applications.

It's a fresh install of Ubuntu (Main Edition) 12.10 x64 bit.

    Re: Cannot set default apps

Bumping this topic with an image attached to show what exactly I mean and cannot achieve in Ubuntu 12.10 x64 bit:

Those marked with red cannot be changed, no idea why. Whenever I open a link e.g., although I've seen everywhere Google-Chrome set as the default browser, Firefox opens. This drives me nuts!
