    G+ community for U+1

In case anyone is interested I've made a G+ community for U+1: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communit...30047682341521

I was slightly surprised it didn't already exist, though I'm also not certain what value it will have over this forum!
    1) ASUS GL702ZC: Ryzen 1700, 32GB, RX580, MATE@Manjaro-x64
    2) Lenovo X230: Core i5-3320M, 4GB, Intel HD4000, Intel 6205, MATE@Manjaro-x64
    3) MSI GT70: i7-3650, 16GB, GTX680M, MATE@Manjaro-x64

I can also put it in the subforum in the Ubuntu G+'s community: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communit...07624972266094

But same issue there, not sure what value it will have.

There are only limited number of places that a person can really follow and participate in with real focus... Making many of those places might make edge here blunter than we really want...

One the one hand I agree... but one of the things I don't like about the Ubuntu G+ community (and no offence Jorge!) is the huge number of help requests there are (almost one every five minutes!), and with no way of filtering those out so I'm notified only about development-related stuff it means (for me) it loses focus quickly. Of course, if and when Google sort out proper moderation features this should become more useful (for me ).

You are right about the dilution effect of having too many avenues. For example, there's a U+1 team with mailing list that's not used, mostly I think because everyone is on here anyway!

(Aside: I'm also not sure of the advantages over a specialised forum - I just think it's Google making an integrated Blogger/Groups/forae product that they can data mine and can be used as an identity service. Commenting on someone's blog means you have to register and log in first - but not on G+. Big idea.)

I guess I'll leave the G+ community there with a nice big link to this forum. Maybe just use it as an announcement feed?

Yeah it sucks, we even tell people where to get support but they don't. Unfortunately it's becoming a lot like the Facebook page, just a bunch of noise. :-/

I guess when Google improves it it might become useful but as of now it's not.
