x64 iso image burnt correctly to a cd, run on 32 bit hardware = No it won't get a desktop or install, you will get an error dialogue box. At least that was the case in Lucid 10.04, when I last tried, I expect it is still the same.
Thanks . All I needed to know. I was going to make a liveusb for repairs, but I would have preferred it to be x64 since my most of the machines I will be installing are x64 architecture except one. Thanks!
Use Yumi http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-mu...t-usb-creator/
Then you can have a USB boot stick with 32bit and x64 on one key along with other tools such as Gparted, Clonezilla, and other versions of Linux or whatever.
It boots to a menu, you choose what you want to boot to and voila
Peace

I guess you mean Multisystem
http://sourceforge.net/projects/multisystem/
But yumi is really good at installing many different systems.
