What is the difference between "Ask Ubuntu" and this forum?

Do you need separate log-in credentials from the forum to use Ask Ubu..?

I tried Asking Ubu but was unable to proceed for some reason.

Difference between this site and Ask Ubuntu? I'm a member of this site, and I'd never even heard of Ask Ubuntu before I saw this thread!

But now I have been made aware of its existence, I will go check it out. Who knows, maybe it's better than this site, I'll be wooed away, I'll never come back here and it'll be the OP's fault!
