    Question Constant dropping wifi 12.10

We have ubuntu 12.10 set up as sole o/s on 1 pc and 1 laptop and it is a secondary o/s on another laptop. The second laptop has windows 7 as it's primary o/s at present.

The pc is hard wired to the router due it's location, so no problems there.

The ubuntu sole o/s laptop irregularly, but often enough to be a regular occurrence, drops off the wifi and i keep getting the password to reconnect box. The box is auto populated with the saved i.d and password in it. Yet all it ever does is search for the connection. I have to either reboot or plug an ethernet cable in.

Exactly the same thing happens to the other laptop with ubuntu as the secondary o/s

This doesn't happen to any of our phones or when the laptop uses it's primary windows o/s.

    Any ideas?

Try to use the most secure encryption mode of your router (if available): WPA2-AES (CCMP), use a fixed channel, too.

    Router firmware is up-to-date?
