I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.
Sorry that really is not help full about the phone type
Does any have any work around this problem
Why can does work with the iPods
Cheers
There is workaround, and it is THE only solution working after have spent 5 days searching.
You can put music on Iphone with TuneShell app over the wifi! Awesome app, it lets you access the device over browser and add files.
Please support the developers! Don't get me wrong, I have no interest if you do support them, I only think that they deserve it.
wow
why is it so hard
thank you for the tunshell
suggestion
and i look into that
cheers
Probably not the best/easiest approach, but just use iTunes on windows vm?
If you use Clementine as your music player, you can select the tunes and then right click and choose copy to device including iPhone, and should also appear on your devices tab

I use iTunes on a Windows XP virtual machine. Works fine.
The reason it's so difficult is down to Apple not making their players simply drag & drop.
I don't think you can drag and drop onto an iPod/iPhone even in Windows, you have to use iTunes.
AMD Bulldozer FX-4100 Quad Core @ 3.6GHz, NVidia GT430, Asus M5A78L-M LX, 8GB DDR3, Western Digital Green 1TB SATA2 hard-drive
it isnt that hard, I know Apple can be a PITA, but there are many ways which are not "hard".
As i pointed out Clementine post #7, I know not everyone wants to use it, but then not everyone wants to use iTunes either
peace
