    From Ubuntu to Debian

Hello everyone I have a question, I have Ubuntu 12.04 installed, I have it configured as a dual boot with Windows 7...now my question is, is there a way to install Debian, or some other distro on top of my ubuntu without having to delete everything=? can this be done through a command or something like that ? I am sort of new with Linux so any help would be much appreciated thanks a lot

    No.

You will have to remove Ubuntu to install another Linux.

However you can Triple boot with equal ease Win7, Ubuntu, & another Distro, provided you have additional disk space or partition to do so.

You could resize the partition if you have enough free disk space. I want to mention that Debian's great free software standards are strict and I like that. Check this out: How to install Debian 7 "Wheezy" testing with LXDE
