    Question 12.10 bash scripts not executing from context menu

    Hi, I would like some help with getting bash scripts to execute from the context menu. They all worked under 12.04 LTS, but I bought a new computer and installed 12.10 from scratch, and my scripts no longer run from the context menu. They still run if I open them in the scripts directory, so I know they're executable and working. Is there something else I need to do to make them launch from the context menu? Thanks for any help.

    Is there maybe a link to a page where this is answered?

    What do you mean by the "context menu"?
    Are you talking about nautilus scripts?

    I mean the one that pops up when you right-click, and one of the items is Scripts. Sorry if I'm calling it the wrong thing. The scripts are ones I wrote such as renaming files.

    For the later nautilus versions, scripts need to be place in
    ~/.local/share/nautilus/scripts

    Not sure of the version it changed but this is the case in Raring which is
    using nautilus 3.6.3

    I tried moving them there, but now the Scripts choice is gone. Before I had them in Home/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts.

    What version of nautilus are you using...
    Code:
    nautilus --version
    Did you have the scripts menu before but they just weren't working?

    My scripts work from ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts

    Hm... still no workey for me. Like I said, I can double-click them directly and they run, but not from the context menu. I choose the script from the list and nothing happens.
