Installing to hard-drive and Lubutu's questions

    Hi,

When I install Lubuntu 12.10 to the hard-drive I assume that I will be asked questions as I go.

In order to prepare prior to an install:

    What are the questions?.

    Are there advisable answers?

    Thanks

Ps. I have just noticed an Lubuntu build 13.04. Surely this is not designed to replace 12.10 at this early stage?

to avoid bad surprise(s), i prefer the "manual" install: now called "something else" install option

    Hi,

I have had a look at your link

Are you saying that I should use gparted to create the partition before I start the install?

Considering Lubuntu 12.10 OS, how much space does root need?

What is a reasonable amount for home? I don't' download a lot.

I believe that swap should be set at 4 x RAM!

    Thanks.
