Installing wine in a different location than /home

    Hi guys, and merry Christmas!

I have the OS installed on a fast SSD HD.
/home partition though is mounted on a slow mechanical disk.
So I'd like to have Wine installed (with all the windows applications) installed in the SSD HD rtaher than in a hidden folder in the /home partition (which is far slower).
Does anybody knows how to (if possible) achieve that?

Yes. your wine prefix can be stored anywhere you have proper permissions.

I used to use wine but I found that virtual machine is the way forward for me. Maybe there is something about running windows software in their native environment just seems to work better IMO
