Re: No wireless after 12.10 installation

Its me again, so after the last kernel update I ran through the normal process and it still doesn't work. Here is the readout form
    lspci -v

    Code:
06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E/RTL8102E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 05)
Subsystem: Toshiba America Info Systems Device ff1e
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 44
    	I/O ports at 2000 [size=256]
    	Memory at f0104000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=4K]
    	Memory at f0100000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=16K]

    	Capabilities: [50] MSI: Enable+ Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+
Capabilities: [70] Express Endpoint, MSI 01

I think I might need a new driver file.
    Any help would be great.

Are you taliking about wireless? You posted details of your wired ethernet. Please try again:
    Code:
    lspci -nn | grep 0280
Did you re-compile the driver? Any errors, warnings, smoke or sparks??

What exactly doesn't work? It didn't compile? It won't connect? It's slow? Or ... what?

    Thanks chili,
My wireless has been dropping in and out for no reason. I think it might be a hardware thing.

Does it work well or drop out unexpectedly on That Other Operating System?

It also drops out randomly when I am using Windows 7 and 8.

I was wondering if there has been a release of an update to the driver I am currently using?
or if 13.04 will have native support for this modem?

Ubuntu 13.04 includes the module rtl8723ae by default.
