    Re: Desktop Environment Preferences

I don't dislike Unity, and I thought it took interesting directions after Gnome 2, but KDE just "feels" right, to me.

I like having access to a bunch of configuration options, or just leave things and they work out of the box. I like that there's multiple ways of organizing my workflow and I like that it looks pretty killer.

I love Unity , I love gnome, I love cinnamon .All are changeable to my liking.
Only thing i hate about Ubuntu 12.04 is the wireless connection error.
Its a little erratic at connecting at start up.

    Re: Desktop Environment Preferences

I use mostly KDE on my laptop at work, and mostly Xfce on my desktop at home. My wife uses Unity.

They're all productive, they all have customizable launchers, and they're all attractive to the eye.

We have an embarrassment of riches here -- it just takes time to find the one that most closely matches a person's particular work style. I'm not getting the "hate" for any of them.

Haters just need a hobby, or something.
