Headphones Out Jack damaged

I have a damaged headphone out jack , so my laptop speakers are not working.

I have no idea how to resolve this problem

Possible solutions (which i could think of)--

1. get audio output from Mic IN(i have heard that each jack has capability to act as headphones out or mic in in new hda platform ,compared to older ac97)

2. Disable jack sense, so that i can get output from laptop speakers.(used gnome alsamixer but laptop speakers get mute automatically ,i have noticed they get mute very often when sound is loud,I HAVE CHECKED THAT AUTO MUTE IS OFF)


*the laptop is a dell inspiron n4010,with realtek ALC269VB and ubuntu 12.04
