Stock CPU cooler good enough?

Hi,

Within a few days, the final components I still need fof my new PC will arrive (I'm planning to build the PC myself).

But I didn't buy an aftermarket CPU cooler. Do you think the stock fan is enough? I have a case with a good airflow and lots of fans. I also don't plan on playing much games other than minecraft and a few Steam titles.

My CPU is AMD FX-81350 (or something like that), it's a 8-core CPU.

if you are not going to overclock its no problem
and you either have the fx8150 or the fx8350

Running the 8350 here with the stock cooler and no problems. Well ventilated case always a good idea though...

The fan is fine, what is generally overlooked is the power supply unit. Avoid the silver box variety and spend a little extra getting a name brand. Look for the 85+ mark. That means it is 85+ efficient rather than 70-, which the generic silver box units are. Good for heating in winter!

The PSU is at the heart of the machine and if the generic silver box decides to die, as they are known to, they rarely go alone and can fry everything ...
