    Installed epson driver but only see cups interface

    I installed the printer driver for my epson r2400 printer, but can only see the cups interface. Cups does not provide access to the printer's maintenance functions. How can I see the epson driver interface?

    Ubuntu 12.04

    Thanks for the suggestion, but I want to get around the cups interface. I saw the driver once, but since then it's just been cups.
