Internet Connection after Shutdown but not Reboot

This is a 12.10 problem I have not had on previous versions.
If I shutdown/Restart, internet is fine.
But if I reboot I lose internet connection everytime, with network manager showing no connections at all.
Using Ralink rt3090sta wireless card, which I think uses the rt2800pci module.
Anyone having the same problem & know of a workaround?
    Thanks.

    bump...
This is still an issue for me in all the 12.10 'buntus, but not 12.04.
Only a hard shutdown/restart will bring my Network connection back.
    Anyone.
