Looks like now it was mostly the various Atheros drivers that did not build. :/

    Greetings,
Its possible that they are just compiling enough drivers to get the development team functional. The download isn't as big as the current 3.7 kernel.

I think I will abandon Lucid and install it on a working RR 13.04 with Unity removed just to keep it simple. The new kernel should be able to use my current Atheros drivers. Guess I will find out.

I'm still were I was with kernel 3.6 and 3.7. Locks up when my USB KVM switch is detected during boot with AMD 64 bit system. Everything was fine with kernel 3.5 and earlier. I'm beginning to wonder if my dual system using the KVM switch is going to be a thing of the past with these new kernels.

Doubt it. You are ahead of reality. You may not get specific support until Beta or Final release.
That is the problem with testing. Somethings don't work. Thats why it make a bit of sense to test on a separate drive and keep a stable version for default.

Yes, I understand that. That's what the second machine is used for with the kVM switch....strictly for testing.

That is strange. This is the first time, ever, I've had a problem like this. Then booting, or trying to run the Live DVD, text scrolls along until it gets to the KVM switch....starts to identify it, then stops part way through the KVM switch identification and goes no further. It's just a little USB KVM switch I've used for several years and never have had issues. Works find with 12.10 and has always worked well with previous versions for the past few years that I've had it.

    It's a Linkskey 2 port KVM switch.
