Question nVidia VS AMD Proprietary Drivers for gaming...

    Hi guys/gals,

I was wondering what the current state of non-free drivers is for nVidia specifically.
I currently have an HD 7970 with the latest fglrx installed but performance is poor/inconsistent ATM.
    I'm thinking about switching.

What are the general complaints with nVidia drivers?

I have never had a complaint with Nvidia Drivers and always used them.

    Everyone's mileage varies though.

I have had no problems with Nvidia, although in 12.10 there were three drives available and I found one worked better than the other two. Strangely enough the Nvidia current tested driver was the worst performer.
