Hi
Have you tried just attaching the printer ?
This should work out of the box using the common drivers.
Clive
There's Gnome place like ~/
Sony Vaio All in One Ubuntu 13.04
Acer Aspire 5315 Ubuntu 13.04 Toshiba NB200 Ubuntu Gnome 12.10
Pilot6, thanks for the link. Could not figure out how to get the rpm installed. I've been an Oracle DBA but didn't do any LInux admin functions. Finally decided I needed to run it on my laptop so I'd get more exposure. Consider me a neophyte at the admin level.
Clive, The default didn't show an XP-600. I went with another Epson xxx-600 but the test page turned into 22 blank pages before I could tell the printer to cancel the job!
Found .deb version which installed fine. Printer now works. Thanks!
