Why the post, "Ubuntu is spying you", closed?

    @Elfy
You closed the topic, Ubuntu is spying you

According the , which you will find here: http://ubuntuforums.org/index.php?page=policy :
Appeals: If you have a complaint about a staff action or believe an action was taken in error, the process for dealing with that is to first post in the Resolution Center and a member of the Forum Council will respond. You may appeal to the entire Forum Council if you are unsatisfied. After these avenues have been exhausted, you may open a complaint with the Ubuntu Community Council.
... I'm here to ask you: WHY?
It was just a poll and you closed it on your rage! NOT logically!

You're against the users freedom! I opened that thtread to discuss but you dropped me/us in your mind prison!

    Thread will remain closed.

We have had the same thing since it was first proposed and put into 12.10, it's nothing new.

There are bugs about it on Launchpad - if you feel that strongly then take it up there - developers actually read those.

As it stands your thread added nothing to the discussions.

I agree with both the thread being closed and it remaining closed. This topic has been debated here repeatedly already. We do not need yet another thread about the same old thing.

    There is another matter, however...

When you registered your account here at Ubuntu forums, you agreed to the the forum Code of Conduct, which contains this, among other things:

Respect the Forum Staff: We provide a service in our free time to keep the forums running efficiently. We are all volunteers. Feedback is welcome in Forum Feedback & Help and this is also the place to request assistance with forum software issues.
Posting here in the Resolution Centre does not absolve you of the need to abide by the Code of Conduct. The part I have just quoted goes on to say:

If you believe an error has been made in moderation or other staff actions, please post politely in the Resolution Center and help us understand your perspective.
I've highlighted in red the part you particularly need to bear in mind. Ranting and hyperbole simply undermine any point you wish to make.

Please do not PM me about your forum account unless you have been asked to. The correct place to contact an admin about your account is here.

It seems there's a "command" from top levels (=Canonical) that any topic around Ubuntu approach shuold be closed/removed!

please post politely in the Resolution Center and help us understand your perspective.

This is just your opinio, but not the most correct opinion!
IMHO, the below form of written is impolitely:
Please use Launchpad to rise up against Canonical.
Funnily enough people have been flogging this dead horse for months now.
