    wireless problem

    hi there
    i installed ubuntu 10.04 from internet.but i cant connect to my wireless router linksys wrh54g ver 1.0,but if i using Local area connection its working,however my wireless connection working in my other os win xp..

    guys pls help.i really want to use ubuntu!
    im a newbie here in ubuntu!

    Have you tried just power-cycling the router? Sometimes that helps for connecting new devices to it.

    Have you tried changing the authentication type? I found this was an issue on a couple of older wireless routers I own.

    Upgrading to 10.04 destroyed my wireless connection too. It seems to be a common problem.

    My wireless card was not even detected by 10.04.

    I "fixed" it by reinstalling 9.10.
