I've consolidated several firefox profiles from different user profiles (copied from old disk drives) into
~/.mozilla/firefox
I added firefox Add-on profileswitcher .. here ..

but I can't seem to switch profiles .. I get this error message (see attachment) even though firefox is not running (other than processmanager popup?)
Why does the message say that firefox process is running when I have quit firefox before launching profilemanager
I have read through here ..

I have found that if I create a brand new profile (using profilemanager) I can switch to that using profilemanager. But for a fresh user profile I have to reinstall Add-ons for that profile.
