Acrobat Reader 9.5.1, Ubuntu 12.04, Acrobat error playing media clip

    Hello everyone,

When I play an embedded audio in Acrobat Reader, it gives me a "Warning: Javascript window" that says "Acrobat has encountered an error playing this media clip."

I have Acrobat Reader 9.5 and Ubuntu 12.04. I have installed RealPlayer 11 and VLC.
When I go to Preferences to look at the default player, there is only the RealOne(tm) Player option. I mean there are no other players detected.
I think that there must be a problem linking the audio to the player or something.

Can someone help me out in solving this. An alternative for playing embedded video would be great (A different player on a different reader) or a workaround would be just as good. If it helps, it worked fine on Windows 7.

    Thanks !

    Hello,

Ok, I surfed the web and I got something. This should help.
In the link, a genius has helped in separating the audio file from the pdf.
Though it would be best to read it off the pdf by clicking on the "speaker button", this works as well. Do have a look !

If anyone else has better suggestions do let me know !
