Nvidia drive Kernel issue (Ubuntu 12.04 - Precise)

I installed Ubuntu 12.04 Precise a couple of weeks ago
so far, I really like it, except that my computer keeps on freezing and/or crashing when I'm using either Firefox or Chrome.

I've been trying to fix this problem for at least 2 weeks already and I'm not gonna lie, I'm beginning to think that it's not worthy.

I installed "System load indicator" and I don't see anything "unusual" before the computer crashes.
I've noticed that a lot of times the computer crashes exactly when I'm typing something in Google and Google tries to show results before I'm finished typing.
I ran memtest 1 time and everything was fine. But I'm going to leave it running tonight to see what I get.
I'm using Gnome Classic and the computer seems to be a little better, but sometimes when I'm browsing "Applications" I can see the mouse cursor freeze for 1 second.

This is what I'm seeing in the terminal

Re: Nvidia drive Kernel issue (Ubuntu 12.04 - Precise)

Before that post, I changed the kernel to what it is right now (shown in previous post) and I was able to use the computer for 1 hour without crashing.
Before, it would crash every 5-10 minutes.

I did notice that the "load" in "Indicator multiload" was high.
And the computer didn't freeze and crash like before, it was more like it would in Windows.

I went into /var/log/jockey.log and this is what I got before I turned the computer off a few minutes later.

Re: Nvidia drive Kernel issue (Ubuntu 12.04 - Precise)

Looks like I might have fixed the problems (I bet there's a 5% chance that I did)

But here's a few of the things I did.

    Adjust "swappiness"
    http://scottlinux.com/2010/06/23/adj...ur-swappiness/

Downloaded NVIDIA drivers from advanced search
    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

    Blacklist other drivers
    http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-inst...ucid-lynx.html

    Install NVIDIA recommended .run driver
    http://askubuntu.com/questions/18747...tall-run-files

Forgot to mention... I also changed my kernel to the latest version that I found for the version of my Ubuntu (Precise) that I found in this page
    http://www.unixmen.com/upgrade-your-...ntu-linuxmint/
