Question Evolution Mail and Calendar - do I need them??

I have recently installed "Tomboy Notes" on my Ubuntu 12.10 OS.

It does all that I had hoped (and failed to achieve with "kjots").

I note that "Tomboy Notes" recommends the installation of "Evolution Mail and Calendar".

I already have (and use) an alternative mail-client (Thunderbird) and an alternative calender (part of the Google package).

Can I safely ignore the "Tomboy Notes" recommend?

YES, it is just a recommendation as it integrates with Evolution
