Monitor Network Program

Is there a program that shows me who is on my home network?

I have several PC's in my Home/Office and sometimes one is left on for some reason in the upstairs or den and the modem/router is flashing and this drives me a little cucko knowing that my bandwidth is being used up. So if know which one is connected, then I can go to it and log off directly instead of hunting all over the place for it.

NMAP wouldnt be a preferred choice of mine for network monitoring, there many more more suitable tools

You could of course just login to your router which will show you active connections

iftop will show live connections on each linux machine you can also use
netstat -tunap
I use these and some of the others mentioned on my server works great some routers will show connections and give you the option to kick connections
