Does anyone know how to overcome FMS opening with Wine resulting in a black window except for the drop-down menus across the top of the window?

bump. Does anyone know how to overcome FMS opening with a black window in Wine. The tool bar is present and the drop down menus on it function, except of course, no results are seen in the black window.
