I have googled and searched the forums but could not find a way to do it...
There is a linux version, but I dunno how to get it to work.

Hi,
I suppose this is the linux version you speak of...
Normally you'd just execute it:
methinks... =)Code:./warsow_0.12-english.run OR sudo ./warsow_0.12-english.run

I've heard reports that that installer doesn't work with Dapper. I've never got it to work for me; I had to install a static, pre-compiled version. So from the website, where it says "Linux: full, update, installer" I chose the "full" version. (It's just an archive with all the binaries inside, you extract it and run the program!)
Still no go for me though, I got ~0.1 FPS (literally, it would move a frame every 10 seconds if I was lucky) in the menu alone! That might be my graphics card at fault though
If you need any more help, I'd be glad to, but I'm just about to run out the door to work. It says something, that my last port of call is the Gaming section of the Ubuntu forums

It's a cow.
Still can't get it to work. Why isn't it added in the repositories. It is the best free quake-style fps =)
I just downloaded the tarball and double clicked the executable file named "warsow". Works here.Originally Posted by Mrtn
There's an installer package at the Loki Installers for Linux Gamers site.

That's what I've used to install it in the past (under Dapper). It's also a good spot to learn about other titles.
EDIT: Sorry. I just re-read the second post and realized I've duplicated it.
