    Question How set correctly mplayer like default player

    Hi , i searched for many places on internet but my question wasn't satisfy.
    In System COnfiguration ->Details->Predeterminate applications->video there is only totem video player and i don't know how put mplayer in the combo box . I know that i can put mplayer like prefered application in a individual extension of video , but is very annoying set like prefered application , mplayer in every new format of video that i find.

    If you use a GUI frontend like Smplayer or gnome-mplayer it should show up in the default list. Otherwise it is a command line application and you have to start it in the terminal anyway.
