Here are a couple of comments from that post that I think it is important to keep in mind:
there have been hundreds of problems reported and many of them are unreproducible by any of my team and the original reporter may not follow up with additional information when requested.I shall stick with Unity. I am along for the ride but I am tempted to install Gnome Remix. There are different ways in which we can be testers. It’s also true that some consider some designed features of Unity to be bugs and we’re not going to “fix” those, so don’t expect Unity to suddenly start working like Microsoft’s Windows XP user interface come next spring.

I am not sure about daily images. I have found this:

I knew that I had seen something about gnome remix and 13.04

Greetings,
I started out in Linux with Karmic and struggled to success at the command prompt. Maverick was super fast and really a fine system. But truthfully what I compare my desktop to is Windows not the older Linux distros. The reason is that I used MS since 1986 through all of the changes and evolutions and that is what I am used to.
Quite frankly I prefer Ubuntu with the Unity Desktop to anything that I have ever used. I am 100% Linux today but the big struggle was with software not Desktop. Once myself and the Mrs. was satisfied with the software we settled in to a boring life without defrags, virus and spyware scans, blue screens and all the rest.
Ask me if I am happy with Ubuntu and I will tell you that I'm more than happy bugs and all. This new RR is the icing on the cake though. Just unbelievable! And if something was there before and missing now, I say be patient and it will be back. Or not!

Life is good! Live it to the Ubuntu-ist!
I have even been experimenting with the raring kernel ,3.7.0-7, etc on a Lucid install with great success, only uses 156MBs of memory at idle on older machines. Raring looks to be a lot snappier as time rolls along.
This is Rolling Release
