I hope this is in the right section.

I have set up a spanning raid using my computers raid setup (in bios). However when I start Ubuntu my raid fails to show up under devices. In disk utility I can see two drives on my SATA controller, each designated as a 500gb RAID component. Please help me get the single 1TB RAID to show up as a HDD.
