Skydome Image Resets on Reboot

In my advanced settings -> desktop cube -> skydome image, I set a location for a background picture on cube rotation. It shows beautifully. But as soon as I restart the computer, it doesn't show anymore. The setting is still there and it's still enabled. if I disable it and renable it, it works again.

Any ideas?

have you tried using a smaller size image ?

i know with my computer i can only make it work if the skydome image is equal to or smaller then 2048x1024

but even then it just wont work in the first place (ive never heard of it only not working after reboot)

The image is 1680 x 1050. I've tried smaller images & larger images. Every time I log out, it stops working and I have disable/re-enable it.

Still can't figure out how to resolve this problem.

I'm still having this same problem - everytime I reboot the skydome image stops appearing until I disable & renable it. Does ANYONE have any idea why this could be happening? Where I might be able to find the config files for skydome?

Same problem here - this is very strange. Did not happen in previous versions of Ubuntu. Compiz was also a huge pain to set up in 11.10!
