Problem with installing ubuntu on HP 655

I've downloaded both, Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.1 from official website and none of the seems to be working on my laptop. At first I thought I'm doing something wrong but then I tried to install it on desktop computer and it worked perfectly.
When I insert USB in laptop and start it, all I get is this:

Anyone knows how to fix this?

I'm assuming you did set your bios to boot from USB? Does this work with other distros?
Does you laptop have an optical drive? If so, you might want to try with a dvd (12.10 does not fit on a cd)

You should probably tell us what happens exactly. For example, what do you mean by "not working"?

Few seconds after turning the laptop on, black screen with 1 line of text appears and I must restart it in order to turn it on.

    This fixed the problem. Thanks

I don't know, haven't tried others yet. I will post results when I download another version.

It has optical drive, I haven't tried installing it via DVD because I don't have any CD's or DVD's at the moment.
