Question Dual monitor / Virtual Desktop question - details inside

    Hey,

first off, I apologize for being unable to come up with a more succinct title.

I use my first monitor for everything that requires interaction.

My second monitor is basically a TV replacement and just runs video (fullscreen flash video, media player, whatever).

If I want to utilize the virtual desktop functionality, however, both monitors switch to Virtual Desktop #2 in one swoop. What I *want* is that my second screen stays the way it is, running video, while the switching from virtual desktop 1-4 just affects my primary screen.

Hope that this makes at least some sense outside of my own head - am literally unable to form this question more precisely.

Edit: I found http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1374090 which addresses the issue, but did not get any further.

the way I've gotten around this is to set the window to Always on Top, and On Each Desktop, this was back when I was using Gnome classic, not sure how that is accomplished using the Unity desktop, or the new Gnome Desktop.
