    Unhappy Grub rescue error

    Hello there,
I was modifying & deleting some of the partitions on my PC , especially on Ubuntu & after doing this, I rebooted the PC & I had this error :
    "error
    grub rescue >"
The only way I can open any of the OS ( Ubuntu 12.04 or win7 ) is to put the USB from where I first installed Ubuntu to get a start to select which of the OS to log into.
So, can anyone help me with this ? I truly need you help !

Hi, Boot using the LiveUSB and go to here. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair

Follow the directions to download install and run.

Hopefully it will fix things for you. If not post the URL you will be given so we can look at things to find out why it failed

    Re: Grub rescue error

I had this problem when I first installed Ubuntu. I just re-installed the whole operating system, which will let you install a new GRUB. Not the most convenient, but it worked for me.
