    Ethernet connection keeps disconnecting.

Edit: I migrated to Fedora 17, instead of Ubuntu as the issues where still not fixed. Easier than not having any internet connection.

Constantly disconnects and reconnects. Also, its really slow as compared to Windows seven. I am currently running Ubuntu 12.10, as I had no internet connection with Ethernet with Lubuntu and various other distributions.

First before it drops the connection, the internet runs very slow. A few seconds later the internet drops and goes out for about 30 seconds. It than reconnects on its own and recycles. Any help would be appreciative, I am trying to stay away from Windows.

Was your problem fixed in fedora ? Would be interesting to know if it uses the same r8169 driver and is still more stable than Ubuntu.

If you want to give ubuntu another shot, try the proprietary r8168 driver by realtek - http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...94&postcount=5

Yes, the problem is fixed within Fedora, although I don't like Fedora as much. lubuntu was not giving me any internet connection, also.
