Why Ubuntu version 12.10 cannot open 2 or more terminal?

All,

Recently I tried Ubuntu 12.10, but are aware of some inconvenience. Why cannot open 2 or more terminal windows like Ubuntu 10.04, and how do I modified some configuration to deal with or overcome this issue?

By the way, I think Ubuntu 10.04 GUI is more user-friendly, maybe coz I have been used to it.

With the terminal window active, move your mouse to the top panel and select "File" > "Open Terminal" or on the Unity sidebar right click the terminal icon and select "New Terminal"

Yes, some folks find the Unity interface to be difficult, There are many threads on this forum concerning this topic...
A little research shall set you free.

<ctrl><alt>t (control plus alt plus lowercase T) also opens a new terminal. Works in 12.04, no experience with 12.10

And yes, my next install will be without Unity. I've given it a try and it's not my style.

You can always open the menu and select open terminal, over and over and over again.
But, yeah using the middle button on the mouse is simple enough.
Or use the hud(alt key) and type new terminal.
