At my university, all the networked printers are provided by Xerox, and they require an AD (Microsoft Active Directory) authentication to use. This is no problem if you use Windows, but is a pain for Linux users: in fact all my printing has to be done on my personal desktop printer, which is just OK for small jobs.

But I'm wondering if anybody knows of any way of providing AD authentication to a networked device under Linux (in my case Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS)?

Thanks!
