Hello everyone. I plan on purchasing aCreative ZEN X-Fi3, but am wondering if it is compatible with ubuntu. Will all the instructions from this guide work?

    Install Gnomad2 from the repo's.

Connect your device (usb)-open Gnomad and your good to go.

I am assuming it is similar to the Zen device.

For anyone trying to convert videos using FFmpeg and the Creative Zen preset, you will need to set the video bitrate to 500k,the default setting is way to high and wont work.

Thanks for the response! I'll look up Gnomad and see who else has had success.

Others have said that the ZEN is not recognized as a USB device, but my X-Fi3 works perfectly fine on Lubuntu 12.10 - it's recognized and I can copy-paste files onto it. Now I will give Gnomad a try.
