    Dell Latitude two finger scrolling

Hey there guys I have an Ubuntu (9.10 32 bit) latitude e4300. I was wondering if I can enable two finger scrolling (doesn't work by going Preferences > Mouse > Touchpad > Two finger scrolling)

It's one of my loved functions on a laptop! Any help or suggestions appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Hamish

Touchpad settings has been discussed numerous times. Do a search.

Re: Dell Latitude two finger scrolling

I have, They all seem to apply to the older XPS or other ones that use alps. I don't think mine does... So many of the suggestions follow different X settings or drivers. Also, I don't appear to have the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf, which many suggestions appear to want me to do. I've even used Google and alternative linux sites.

So before you jump in with 'noob, use search' you should read what I'm actually asking, I'm looking for some advice that relates closer to my laptop. I guess I didn't clarify that the issue I'm having is related to my Latitude e4300, and I'm unsure what touchpad it uses - but I have many different options in config files compared to other Dell XPS users.

Hi sideaway - Resurrecting this extremely old thread to ask if you ever got multitouch working on your e4300, I'd love to know.
