    downverter does not open

    i am new to ubuntu and need some help. i have installed downverter to my ubuntu 11.10 and i can find its icon in dash. but when i click it, nothing happens...downverter does not open....
    can somebody help me out plz??

    You may have a CLI or terminal based application . Try starting from the terminal with the following.
    Code:
    downverter
    Pay attention if there are any errors and if it is CLI based you can view the man page/instructions with the following.
    Code:
    man downverter
