Unity + Firefox = middle click fubar again

I'd written previously that the mouse wheel click doesn't work as expected with Firefox & Unity. Tab Utilities got me back on track, so that Firefox Bookmarks opened in new tabs with a middle click.

The latest Firefox update (17.0) is incompatible with Tab Utilities 1.1.5 and 1.2. Firefox is once again treating all clicks the same when working within the Firefox header - Tools, Bookmarks, etc. Has anyone found a different way to make Firefox recognize the middle click as a distinct command instead of doing the same thing regardless of left/right/middle clicks?

I'm just barely sticking with Unity because I'm curious to see where it goes, but this kind of thing makes me want to d/l lubuntu-desktop & kick Unity to the curb

EDIT - Never mind, I disabled Global Menu Bar Integration in my Firefox add-ons. This broke the way Canonical wants Firefox to "look & feel" within Unity, but that's secondary to basic functionality.
