Ubuntu in a VMware View Environment

Does anyone know if you can run Ubuntu in a View environment, as a guest? Just a curiosity question as M$ Licensing is a pain and expensive.

If there were some better tools for management and deployment in the Enterprise I might think about using it on the desktops.
